Want to help out?

There are a lot of ways to contribute to helping rescue animals & rehabilitators!

Ways to Volunteer

Some of you may have rescued animals, and
some may want to rescue the Rehab Team! Help can come in many ways, and often it’s not in handling the animals.

  • Building structures (e.g. outdoor caging)
  • Transporting animals to large city centers (mainly Nashville or Chattanooga)
  • Routine cage cleaning
  • Deep cleaning cages between litters
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, texts
  • Participating in releases
  • Community Outreach
    • Looking for new release locations and seeking owner permissions
    • Social Media (creation and maintenance)
    • Education articles & presentations
  • Food preparation
  • Writing up procedures
  • Administrative work (entering information into databases)

Supplies Needed

There are always supplies we need. If you don’t have time to volunteer your time, you can still help with items from the list below. (Note the disclaimer at the bottom — these are personal gifts).

  • Gift Cards to:
    • All Pets Health Center in Spring Hill, TN (our Vet for critically sick/injured animals)
    • SquirrelStore.com (feeding syringes, tubes)
    • Tractor Supply (formula, dog/cat food)
    • Rodent Pro (yes, we buy them frozen mice)
    • Amazon (syringes, needles, food, pet pads, Snuggle Puppy Jr, supplements for formula)
  • Cleaning Supplies
    • REScue disinfectant wipes or concentrate for veterinary use
  • Fresh & Frozen Vegetables
  • Supplies for building of an outdoor structure(s)
  • Pet pads – Large or Extra-Large

Privately Funded

This facility has not received non-profit status and has not yet obtained status as a charity, and thus is not allowed to solicit donations. Any purchases you make and give for the care of helping the animals is a private gift and has no tax benefits. This is an all-volunteer operation and care for the animals is funded entirely out-of-pocket.
