Additional Resources for Caring for New Rescues
While I’ve provided an overview of the initial steps to help you bridge the gap while you are seeking a wildlife rehabilitator, below are some excellent online resources that I recommend as well.
Facebook Private Groups:
These private facebook groups have very experienced opossum (possum) rehabilitators and admins who can answer your questions, have very detailed documentation, and can help you find local rehabbers in your area.
Excellent Very Detailed Website:
Many of us started with and continue to refer to this site. Don’t be fooled by the somewhat amateur or dated web design (sorry! love you! but true). This is a wealth of information and represents many years of experience condensed down to a sparkling diamond. In fact, in creating our site I started to write-up a number of similar topics and just decided to refer you to her site. Even if you are an experienced rehabilitator, or even a veterinarian, you will find pearls of knowledge at this site.
